Mr Toumi helped me find why I was having difficulty eating. He was always kind,gracious and helpful and always sympathetic and listened to me. He explained the reason and I found him an extremely sympathetic and courteous. He is a special man with a great heart.

Over the years I have had a constant battle with weight.I have tried all the diets going lost weight but put it back on and more therefore health problems and mobility problems ensued . My life has changed so much for the better since I came under the care of Mr Toumi. His excellent communication skills compassionate nature and his ability to put you at ease and allow you to talk, ask questions while he actually listens and shows that he cares how you are .After surgery this care continues and you know that someone you trust highly is there if you need him this also goes for the team around him who are excellent particularly must mention the HDU unit at Darlington who looked after me so well after my surgery. I can’t recommend Mr Toumi highly enough he has helped improve my outlook given me a reason to enjoy life again being healthier with better mobility thank you Mr Toumi and your team anyone coming under his care don’t worry you are in great hands.

MR. TOUMI is kind, caring, understanding, helpful, patient, supportive and attentive, knowledgeable and professional. When I was in for my surgery he rang me personally each day I was on the ward to check on my progress. Never had that kind of commitment from any other health care professional.. this man deserves a medal in my opinion. Mr T- you rock!!

Outstanding man with outstanding care and compassion from him and his team, listens and advises on the best surgery for you. I couldn't of wished for a better surgeon who personally rings you while your in hospital to check on you I've never had a surgeon do this before. This surgery was the best decision its saved me(he saved me) and I feel like I now fit in with society nobody stares and I'm not fat shamed anymore. The aftercare is 10/10. Highly recommended

I had my gastric bypass surgery 23rd February 2018 at Darlington memorial hospital by Mr Toumi. Prior to surgery Mr Toumi was always very thorough in explaining everything to me, answering any questions I had, and also listening to me &I my reasons why I wanted the gastric bypass over the gastric sleeve after I had done my extensive reasearch. He then gave me his opinion on which surgery he felt would be better but ultimately we came to the decision together. The morning of my surgery I met with Mr Toumi Again and again we went over the operation etc and made sure he was happy and I was happy. Mr Toumi came to see me after my surgery once I was back on the Ward &I he personally rang my mobile everyday whilst I was on the Ward to speak to me, after I got discharged on the Monday I then got re admitted due to an infection ( nothing to do with Mr T) but he came to see me on the Tuesday Morning, had me sent for scans and tests straight away. He then made sure the Ward spoke to home before anything was given to me etc. Again ringing me personally, popping in to see me, etc. Since my surgery he has been a tower of strength, always so proud of his patients, always caring and attentive and seriously, Genuinely wants the best for his patients. Mr Toumi Saved my life the day he preformed the surgery on me &I I can never say thank you enough, I'm not 1 year post surgery &I just over 10stone down with a brand new lease of life! Anyone who ends up under Me Toumis care &a his team because they're equally as amazing are very very lucky people!
